Here’s the contour on the bass side of the body. It’s a bit shallower than I initially expected, but the effect is still there. What you can’t see in this photo is that I also carved the belly cut.
Here the guitar body is clamped onto the edge of my bench. I’ll use a rasp to carve a contour onto the edge.
That wraps day one! Excited to get a body shape cut out with the correct dimensions already. I’m absolutely wiped, the hotel is too warm to sleep well in, and cycling back and forth to Heiloo is not…
