# Rounding the neck

Routing the round part of the neck using a router strapped to a gantry that follows a preshaped neck, which I guess strictly speaking is a conical section. A ball end restricts the movement of the router so that you can’t carve too much away. Only 3 hours or so left in week one, we’re nearing the halfway point!

Routed the pickup cavity too close to the neck. I was going on my original drawings and hadn’t double checked. Repairable though, the plan is to CNC a plug to fit perfectly and glue it in on Monday.
